PRC cuts tourists to Taiwan, to boycott Golden Horse Awards, amid rising tension

China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced on July 31 that due to the current state of cross-strait relations, effective August 1, mainland Chinese tourists from 47 cities will no longer be granted individual travel permits to visit Taiwan.
